The Food and Drug Administration has been steadily losing employees amid a government hiring freeze that has lasted roughly six months — and the loss of staff is impacting workflow and morale. Employees described a chaotic work environment with missed deadlines. (STAT News)

Still, the FDA approved KalVista Pharmaceuticals’ sebetralstat to treat acute hereditary angioedema attacks in patients 12 years and older after informing the company that it would not meet its June 17 PDUFA date due to resource restraints.
