It’s the season of giving, and femtech company Willow has partnered with nonprofit organization Project Sweet Peas on an initiative to support parents of Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) babies on Giving Tuesday.

On Nov. 28, for every purchase of a Willow Go wearable breast pump, the company will donate a portion of the proceeds to Project Sweet Peas, which will provide care packages for both parents and premature babies including items such as water wipes, a NICU journal, a onesie, a toiletry kit, a doll, car seat sign and more.

Willow will also donate the cost of a care package, up to $10,000, to provide Willow Go breast pump kits to NICU parents. The initiative launches for the first time as each year, one in 10 babies born in the U.S. is premature.

“Willow and Project Sweet Peas share an immense passion for empowering moms and easing the stress of early parenthood, and we are incredibly proud to partner with them to support moms navigating the NICU journey,” said Sarah O’Leary, chief commercial officer at Willow in a statement. “While the path looks different for every parent, we know how important it is to be fully hands-on with your baby during this time.”

Project Sweet Peas, which is made up of volunteers who are former NICU parents, will distribute the care packages.

“As a three-time NICU Mom, I know how difficult it can be to establish and maintain a milk supply while having to travel back and forth to the hospital, unable to hold and care for your baby in the early NICU days,” said Corin Nava, executive director and co-founder of Project Sweet Peas in a statement. “Having the freedom and effectiveness of the Willow pump can make all the difference for a NICU mom during those early days.”
